WHAT IS EMBOSSING? The custom work we do is embossing, but not to be mistaken for embroidery, and is done underneath the fabric during the new headliner recovery process. It’s a solid image we place underneath the fabric before it’s applied to give off a raised appearance. Can only be done during the recovery stage.

Also with embossings we suggest to use a velour headliner fabric, and not the flat knit fabric due to that having too much stretch in flat knits, that it can reduce its appearance, but we can still apply it to flat knits.

COMMON Q&A’S
Raised front middle section:
We require a large flat service to put in the logo, and the front section on the Ford FG or Holden VE VF don’t offer that due to the large raised front middle section, which does distort the embossing when laid out. I recommend using the flat room at the far back of the board, or x2 logo down vertically on both sides. Or x1 logo vertically down the middle on the raised section, but not horizontal as it distorts the image. We can discus options further on the phone or in person.
HOLDEN VE VF WM or FORD FG:
Usually on this particular car theres no room for an embossing because of the raised middle front middle section in the headliner board. We require a large flat service for the embossing to sit flat. The back rear section has a small flat surface to work with, but most logos look better preferably up the front, but your headliner board doesn’t offer this space. With Ute models, I recommend using the flat room at the far back of the board on FG Ute model, and VE ute’s we could do something vertically up the middle, or on the left and right sides.
A: Logo above and below is positioned so passengers can read it up right, this is our recommended position.
B: Logo above is positioned so drivers side can read it up right, but would be upside down for passengers as seen below image.
PAY A DEPOSIT:
Make sure you 100% want (the Embossing), and don’t cancel on us, as this is a custom order and is not a factory option, and once recovered we need to move it on and do the exchange so we can get a standard one back in on our shelf to refurbish for the next customer, if we are doing the fast exchange option, which is offered on our most common makes and models we do.
So for this option we like to ask for a non refundable deposit to be paid off the total.
